Dear Parents/Guardians and Community Partners,
With great pleasure, I write to welcome you back to another great school year. I hope your summer has been filled with fun family activities while enjoying the wonderful sunshine. How quickly summer concludes, and our thoughts turn to prepare for the start of school. This is always one of my favorite times of the year! I love the excitement of beginning each new school year and eagerly await welcoming our students. I'm thrilled to be part of a team of teachers, staff, parents, and students who want to achieve great things! Our faculty, staff, and I look forward to a new school year and are working hard to see your child's learning experience at Converse County School District #1 schools thriving and happy.
Your partnership and support are critical elements to ensuring that we can maximize each student's educational and personal development. To that end, we encourage a positive home-school relationship based on the mutual goal of providing the best learning experience possible for all our students. Our talented faculty brings a diverse set of approaches to instruction to address a variety of student learning styles. During the August scheduled open house, families will have the opportunity to meet the faculty at their child's established school. They will have the opportunity to visit their child's classroom, form a relationship with the teacher, and learn about the grade-level curriculum, specials, classroom technology, and activities.
Throughout the district, there is an incredible level of excitement as everyone makes final preparations for the arrival of our children. We approach the craft of teaching with the same care, enthusiasm, and commitment. As the people you have entrusted with educating your children, we have developed a robust educational program that addresses each child's social, emotional, and academic needs. Using research-based best practices is education; we promote an educational environment that engages the students in meaningful work to develop the critical skills necessary to become independent, responsible, and productive citizens.
The staff and I eagerly await to welcome you to another wonderful school year, and we look forward to seeing families and students very soon!
