Recently, surplus books were placed in dumpsters within the district, which understandably raised concerns among community members. The materials were promptly retrieved and placed into storage.

Currently, the district is in the process of reviewing this situation and will explore additional attempts to repurpose these materials which may include surplus resale avenues and additional opportunities for all community members to obtain the books.

I value feedback from all stakeholders and remain committed to addressing it in a respectful and thoughtful manner. The district is dedicated to continuously improving its practices and ensuring the responsible stewardship of public resources.

Sincerely,

Ryan Mackey, Ed.D.

This is Converse 1 Schools. DIS/DUES received what appeared to be a prank phone call lacking details but threatening in nature. As a precaution, we have placed the school in Secure. Admin and DPD are working to trace the source. During the Secure Action, all doors are locked and no one can leave or enter the building.
Students who walk home from the school will not be allowed to walk and will need to be picked up. We are planning a controlled release at the end of the normal school day. Please be patient. Any changes will be communicated.

3:09 - SWAG has NOT been cancelled at DIS/DUES. We are still planning on a controlled release at the normal release time.

3:14 - We are still planning on a controlled release at the normal release time. As a precaution, there will be an added presence by local law enforcement.

3:19 - Controlled release will begin soon. Please exercise patience as we utilize additional safety precautions.

3:24 - DIS/DUES have begun to release students under adult control. All students who normally walk will need to be picked up.

3:29 - Thank you for your continued patience as we release the students.

3:34 - Students continue to be released in a controlled manner.

3:41 - The Secure Alert at DIS/DUES has been closed.

Estimados padres y tutores,

Atentamente,

Jeff Cudney

We're absolutely loving this beautiful Wyoming winter! ☀️ While we're enjoying the sunshine and mild temps, we know Mother Nature can surprise us. Just a friendly reminder that all our inclement weather information—closures, delays, and updates—lives right here: https://www.ccsd1.org/page/inclement-weather-information. 🌨️ Here's hoping we don't need it, but we're ready if we do!
