Atentamente,
Jeff Cudney

Just a friendly reminder that all our inclement weather information—closures, delays, and updates—lives right here: https://www.ccsd1.org/page/inclement-weather-information. 🌨️ Here's hoping we don't need it, but we're ready if we do!

Converse County School District #1 is committed to a transparent, community-driven process when reviewing and selecting high-quality instructional materials for our students. As part of this commitment, we are opening the CCSD1 MATH & WRITING Resource Evaluation Tools for Public Comment from December 8th to December 19th, 2025. This tool guides the review of teacher-selected curriculum resources (listed below) to ensure alignment with Wyoming standards, instructional best practices, research evidence, and district priorities. We invite Parents, Students, Staff, and Community Members to review the document and share your feedback. Your perspective is important to us as we want to ensure our District Curriculum reflects the values, expectations, and needs of our community: Public Comment Link - https://docs.google.com/document/d/1NcSUcZlW5Ysn9LU59EW28LFuEdbOPo6P4CK_UlEUp2E/edit?usp=sharing

Power has been restored and school is in session today, November 14, 2025.

IMPORTANT! After school SWAG at the Intermediate, Upper Elementary, Middle and High schools is cancelled. Therefore, only the NORMAL bus routes will run. Middle School wrestling practice is also cancelled.
The following activities are NOT cancelled:
Douglas Primary School SWAG (normal DPS SWAG bus routes will run).

High School cheer practice.

4:18 PM: We will continue to monitor the power outage situation throughout the night. Information regarding the school day on Friday, November 14, 2025, will be announced no later than 5:00 am. If power IS restored and stable, we will have a normal early-out school day. If power IS NOT restored and stable, school and activities will be cancelled. Thank you for your partnership and patience. The CCSD#1 website and app will have the most up-to-date information.
2:01 PM: All schools are currently without power, and phone service is intermittent. We expect power to fluctuate until school releases at its normal time.
Converse County School District is currently affected by the widespread electrical outage affecting Rocky Mountain Power customers. The current state of our schools is as follows:
High School: normal operations
Middle School: limited power, phones are not working
Upper Elementary: limited power, phones are working
Intermediate School: limited power, phones are not working
Primary School: normal operations
Central: normal operations
White: no power, phones are working
Shawnee: normal operations
Dry Creek: normal operations
Moss Agate: no power, phones are working
If you need to get a message to any school without working phones, please call 307-358-2942 instead. This will connect you to our main office at Central Administration, and we will relay the information.
Due to power surges, we may need to shut down power to the schools to protect equipment. At this time, school will dismiss as usual. We will provide updates as the situation changes.

A heartfelt thank you to all who participated in this morning’s Veterans Day program—your efforts made this event truly special and meaningful for our community.

Important Update for CCSD1 Families
Beginning October 20, CCSD1 will transition to LiveSchool for our behavior tracking and rewards system.
After testing behavior tracking through Rooms, we found that the reporting features did not provide the level of clarity and detail needed by our teachers and families. LiveSchool offers a more robust and transparent system for tracking student behavior, while also allowing students to earn rewards for positive actions and choices.
This change will help strengthen communication between school and home and support a positive learning environment for all students.
LiveSchool access codes and setup instructions will be distributed to families by classroom teachers to assist with account setup and ensure a smooth transition.
Thank you for your continued support!

Douglas High School was placed in Hold from 2:19 pm to 2:29 pm due to due to a student medical issue .
As a precaution, students and staff were asked to remain in their classrooms in order to keep the hallways empty. Classroom learning continued throughout the Hold, and all school operations have returned to normal.
The safety and security of your child is our top priority. We will continue to keep you informed about important concerns at our school. If you need to update the phone numbers or emails that receive our messages from the school notification system, please contact your child’s school.
