Summer Camp Opportunities

FREE- Rocky Mountain RYLA- Rotary Youth Leadership Award Camp is for Sophomores & Juniors and takes place over a week in the summer at Estes Park, CO.
FREE- The American Legion Auxiliary hosts Girls State in Cheyenne for a week in the summer for juniors. June 7-13,2020 at LCCC.

FREE- The American Legion hosts Boys State in Douglas for a week in the summer for juniors. June 14-20, 2020, at UW.
University of Wyoming, Summer High School Institute is a 3 week camp in Laramie for Sophomores. Deadline is Feb 14th, 2020.

$150- University of Wyoming hosts a Healthcare Careers Summer Camp for rising juniors and seniors. July 12-17, 2020.

UW offers a Summer Music Camp in Laramie June 14-19.

UW offers a Summer Engineering Camp for Juniors June 14-20. Deadline is March 27, 2020.
UW offers an Energy Summer Institute for Sophomores and Juniors July 12-17. $300 with scholarships available. 

FBI Casper Teen Academy and FBI Teen Academy - Wind River, an opportunity to get a comprehensive look into today’s FBI. For more info see their website Deadline is March 31st.

SDSM&T Mining and Explosives Camp. Free Camp June 15-18 for grades 9-12. This link offers many other camp opportunities at SDSM&T.
UW offers a Gold STEM camp for grades 7-11. One week or two week camps, prices vary, but scholarships are available. 
UW offers the UW Teton STEM Academy for rising 9-11 graders. Dates are tentatively set for July 11-18.
UW offers the Summer Research Apprenticeship Program. Deadline Feb 3rd.
UW offers the Native American Summer Institute for students entering grades 10-12. 
UW offers a 4H Horse Camp in Thermopolis June 10-11.
Wyoming Catholic College hosts a PEAK Summer Camp in Lander in June/July for Juniors and Seniors. 

LCCC hosts a HOBY Leadership Seminar for Sophomores in Cheyenne in June. The cost is $225.  See a counselor if you are interested in registering for this camp. 
Teton Science Schools offers a variety of camps and includes backpacking trips or back country camping near Jackson. These are for students in grades 3-11. Grades 7-12
The Service Academies host summer programs. Tuition ranges from $300-550. Admission is competitive, apply early!

BYU has a week long Young Authors Camp in July for aspiring authors ages 14-18.

SDSU has a week long Natural Resources Camp in July for wildlife enthusiasts entering grades 9-12.

Regis University offers Reading Skills and Speed Reading programs for all grade levels and adults.
Washington University offer Summer Experiences for Middle and High School students.

The National Youth Science Camp (NYSCamp) is a residential science education program for young STEM enthusiasts the summer after they graduate from high school. Two students from each state are selected to participate. Students who are selected will attend the NYSCamp FREE of charge.


FREE- Questbridge offers scholarships for low income students to college summer programs at Emory, Notre Dame, University of Chicago, Penn, Stanford, and Yale.

Dartmouth has a Health Career Institute for a week in the summer in New Hampshire for 9-11th graders. Deadline is March 15th, fee is $2550.
FBI Denver’s 2019 Teen Academies - now accepting applications! Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors will spend an interactive day with Special Agents and Professional Staff, experiencing both classroom and hands-on activities. Applications are due April 15th. Dates are June 12th in Denver, July 13th in Laramie, or August 2nd in Colorado Springs. See links below for application and more information
